Rethinking Rental Asset Management: The AI-Director Paradigm

A prior team spent 2.5 years and $1.25M building an enterprise rental asset management platform — and delivered nothing production-ready.

I joined as CEO and Principal Product Architect and rebuilt the entire approach from the ground up. Rather than writing code directly, I pioneered the AI-Director Paradigm: a governance framework using MCP servers and 1,800 specification documents — what I call Bureaucracy as Code — to direct AI coding agents with filesystem-level consent gates. Every architectural decision, security standard, and compliance requirement was encoded into the specification before a single line of code was generated.

The result: a production-ready, ISO-compliant enterprise ERP in 20 weeks.

The platform covers rental asset management, scheduling, SCM, logistics, and multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure — built to enterprise standards from day one, not retrofitted later.

Royal Connect: Building Compliance Into the Architecture

After an ABC 20/20 investigation into sales practices at Royal Holiday Vacation Club, I designed and deployed Royal Connect — an iTunes-style e-learning platform integrated with a custom HRM — to 2,000 salespeople across 4 countries in 3 languages. Compliance wasn’t enforced by policy: reps couldn’t register for payroll without passing required certification exams. The system detected 2 active fraud attempts by terminated reps rehiring under false identities. Royal Connect won the ARDY Award — ARDA’s top honor in the Sales Training category — at ARDA World 2017.

MVS Televisión / iTunes Latin America

On August 4, 2009 — the day Apple launched the first iTunes Store in Latin America — MVS Televisión was featured in the top banner of the iTunes Mexico Store. I managed the first video podcast channel for a Latin American broadcaster, with Noticias Exa reaching #1 in Nuevo y Destacado on launch day. This was the first time a Mexican broadcaster made original video content available through iTunes, establishing a distribution model that predated mainstream streaming by years.
